Maggie Reinbold, M.S.

Conservation Education Specialist

Maggie Reinbold received her bachelor of science degree in zoology and her master's degree in evolutionary biology from San Diego State University, focusing on the population genetics and phylogeography of aquatic insects from the desert springs and oases of Baja California, Mexico. She was previously part of the Genetics Division of CRES, where she worked on the conservation genetics of endangered iguanid and primate species.

Ms. Reinbold has engaged in field research in Mexico, the Middle East, and across Southern California. She has spent the past several years engaging in science education outreach in elementary, secondary, and college classrooms in the Arctic, Baja California, and throughout San Diego County.

Maggie's favorite pastime is exploring unique areas of the County, such as Anza- Borrego Desert and Cleveland National Forest.
